2. What data we collect

We only collect the data you provide when registering:

  • Email address — required to identify you and send you notifications related to the game (match results, group invitations).
  • Name or nickname — the name shown in the leaderboard and match detail views.
  • Timezone and language — to display match times in your local time and the app in your preferred language.

We collect nothing else. No behaviour tracking, no third-party cookies, no usage analytics, no advertising.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to:

  • Manage your account and allow you to access the application.
  • Display your name or nickname in your group's leaderboard.
  • Send you emails related to the game: group invitations and match result notifications.

Nothing more. We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.

4. Your email is private

Your email address is never visible to other users. Neither group members, nor group owners, nor any other user can see your email. Only your name or nickname is shown.

5. We never share your data

We do not sell, rent or share your data with any third party under any circumstances. We do not work with advertising platforms, social networks or external analytics services. Your data does not leave our servers.

6. No tracking or third-party cookies

ScoreKing does not install third-party cookies. We only use the strictly necessary cookies for session management (Rails session cookie). There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracker.

7. Legal basis for processing

The processing of your data is based on the performance of a contract (the service you requested when registering), in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — find out what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct your data from your profile settings.
  • Erasure — delete your account and all associated data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection and restriction — object to certain types of processing.

10. Security

Passwords are stored encrypted (bcrypt). All communication with the application uses HTTPS. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
